Meeting
My
New
Pets:
A
Story
of
Naming
a
Cat
and
a
Dog
I
have
always
been
a
huge
animal
lover,
so
when
I

into
a
new
home
with
a
spacious
backyard,
I
knew
that
it
was
time
to
adopt
a
cat
and
a
dog.
After
weeks
of
researching
breeds
and
visiting
shelters,
I
finally
found
the
perfect
duo.
The
cat
was
a
fluffy
brown
tabby
with
piercing
green
eyes,
while
the
dog
was
a
small
terrier
mix
with
a
curly
tail
and
perky
ears.
As
soon
as
I
brought
them
home,
I
knew
that
I
needed
to
give
them
the
perfect
names
to
match
their
unique
personalities.
I
decided
to
let
them
spend
a
few
days
getting
used
to
their
new
surroundings
before
choosing
their
names.
After
observing
them
for
a
while,
I
noticed
that
the
cat
was
very
independent
and
always
kept
to
herself.
She
would
spend
hours
napping
in
the
sun
or
chasing
after
butterflies
in
the
garden.
The
dog,
on
the
other
hand,
was
extremely
energetic
and
always
wanted
to
play.
He
would
bark
excitedly
and
wag
his
tail
in
circles
whenever
he
saw
a
ball
or
a
frisbee.
I
knew
that
I
wanted
to
give
them
names
that
reflected
their
distinct
personalities,
so
I
decided
to
name
the
cat
Luna,
after
the
moon
goddess
who
was
known
for
her
independence
and
beauty.
For
the
dog,
I
picked
the
name
Max,
which
meant
"greatest"
in
Latin,
to
showcase
his
playful
and
adventurous
spirit.
From
that
day
on,
Luna
and
Max
quickly
became
the
best
of
friends.
They
would
spend
their
days
exploring
the
garden,
chasing
after
squirrels,
and
cuddling
up
together
on
the
couch.
It
was
heartwarming
to
see
how
two
animals
who
were
so
different
could
get
along
so
well.
Naming
my
pets
was
one
of
the
most
important
decisions
I
made
as
a
pet
owner.
It
allowed
me
to
get
to
know
their
unique
personalities
and
to
understand
their
needs
and
preferences.
I
was
grateful
to
have
found
Luna
and
Max,
and
I
knew
that
they
would
bring
me
many
years
of
joy
and
companionship.
