Journey
Through
Time:
A
Personal
Account My
name
is
Sarah,
and
I
recently
found
myself
transported
back
in
time
to
the
year
1920.
It
was
a
surreal
experience,
to
say
the
least,
but
it
was
also
an
incredibly
eye-opening
one. As
I
navigated
my
way
through
a
world
vastly
different
from
my
own,
I
realized
just
how
much
society
has
evolved
in
the
past
century.
Women
were
still
fighting
for
their
right
to
vote,
and
racism
was
rampant.
It
was
a
harsh
reality,
one
that
I
couldn't
simply
ignore. But
amidst
the
struggles
and
injustices,
there
were
also
moments
of
beauty
and
wonder.
I
witnessed
the
birth
of
jazz
music,
attended
a
prohibition-era
speakeasy,
and
even
met
some
of
the
most
influential
figures
of
the
time,
such
as
Ernest
Hemingway
and
Coco
Chanel. As
my
time
in
the
past
drew
to
a
close,
I
couldn't
help
but
feel
a
sense
of
gratitude
for
all
the
progress
that
has
been
made
since
then.
And
yet,
I
also
couldn't
help
but
feel
a
sense
of
responsibility.
It's
up
to
us,
the
people
of
the
present,
to
continue
fighting
for
a
better
future
and
to
never
forget
the
lessons
of
the
past. In
